7-6-18 Hi All, Hope everyone is enjoying the summer. We are very grateful that Josephine is doing well as the tumor is still under control due to the radiation treatment she endured with such resilience and courage…We enjoy seeing her symptoms free enjoying her beautiful life but we remain vigilant looking for ammunition to battle the monster that is temporarily dormant…Josephine had a second infusion yesterday and did well. She hates the infusions and blood work but there is no way around it unfortunately. She is having some stomach issues and doesn’t feel hungry. We are unable to determine is this is a side effect of the drug Nivolumab or from a different source. Otherwise, she is tolerating the treatment well. The next MRI due 8/9 will show us if she is responding to the treatment.
Today a co-worker gave me a statue of Saint Peregrine that used to belong to his departed mother…this was a very nice gesture as I know so many people are also praying for a miracle. I burst in tears as I wish for a miracle so badly that it hurts…Josephine is such a happy girl everyone is delighted to be around her at all times…
